A Day in Friartown
A Day in Friartown
On select days, we invite prospective students to spend A Day in Friartown.
While on campus, you will have the opportunity to:
- Be paired up with a current student who will show you their typical day
- Sit in on two academic classes, including our signature Development of Western Civilization course*
- Interact with members of the faculty and staff
- Walk around campus and explore various buildings
- Enjoy lunch in Raymond Dining Hall
Registration for A Day in Friartown begins at 9:30 a.m. with the program
beginning at 10 a.m. and concludes at 2:30 p.m.
Parents are invited to a special presentation while students take part in the Day in Friartown program. A panel session will begin at the start of the student’s visit and last approximately 30-45 minutes. An optional tour of campus will follow.
*Please note that the availability of courses within certain disciplines may be limited. We make every effort to seat visiting students in a class related to their intended major, however, to preserve the learning environment for our current students and the faculty members teaching our courses, we are unable to guarantee specific course selections. We thank you for your understanding.
Regarding Nursing and Health Sciences: Because we are awaiting the opening of the Ben Mondor Center for Nursing and Health Sciences in January 2025 and current classroom space is limited, students will be unable to attend classes in those fields. The Day in Friartown program will still be an excellent opportunity to experience campus and academic life more generally. For students interested in Nursing or Health Sciences, we can offer the opportunity to attend a science course based on classroom availability.
