Merit-Based Scholarships and Need-Based Financial Aid
Providence College offers various types of merit-based scholarships. The selection process for a merit-based scholarship is highly selective. For the Class of 2026, roughly 30% of accepted students received a merit-based scholarship. Providence College offers various types of grants, scholarships, loans and work opportunities available through the College. In order to be considered for both federal and institutional need-based assistance, a student must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the College Scholarship Service (CSS) Profile. More information regarding need-based financial aid and the deadlines to apply are available through the Office of Financial Aid website.
Applying to Providence College
The admission process at PC is highly selective and has continued to grow even more selective in recent years. For the Class of 2026, approximately 11,500 students applied for approximately 1,050 spaces. To fill those spaces, just under half of all applicants were admitted. Extensive information is available on the process of applying and how a student can best position themselves, but certainly feel free to reach out to the counselor for your area should you have specific questions or would like to have a conversation about the students from your school.
