Enrollment Deadline Extended to June 1
In recent weeks, I’ve heard from students who have told me that they need more time to make a college decision. I understand. This is a big decision that needs to be made in an uncertain time. That’s why today I’m announcing that Providence College’s enrollment deadline for the Class of 2024 has been extended to June 1 for all students admitted to the College in December and March.
For those of you who have all the information you need but who aren’t quite ready to make that final commitment, we hope this extra time leads you to believe that Providence College is the place for you.
Others of you are still sorting through the many layers of this process. If your financial aid package is not adequate or the enrollment deposit poses a burden right now, we want to hear from you. For others who need additional questions answered about whether PC is the right academic and social fit, we also want to hear from you. The admission counseling staff is available anytime to speak with you, and so are our faculty and students. As a community, we’re here to help you make the right decision. We happen to believe the right decision is an academically rigorous, socially supportive, employer-respected institution – Providence College.
In closing, I won’t pretend to know how COVID-19 has impacted your life. I know it impacted colleges and universities across the country that have taught their students from afar this spring. But what I have witnessed since this pandemic began has given me more faith in PC than I already had. We have made every effort to keep our academic promises, to protect our students from physical and emotional distress, and to plan for brighter days ahead. I hope those brighter days include you.
